Hole.io Maps: All 16 Locations and What You Can Eat

The Maps menu
The Maps button on the main menu opens a grid of 16 maps plus an All tile marked with a question mark. All is selected by default and leaves the choice open, so you may land anywhere. Pick a single map when you want to practise it or when a mission names it. On a fresh profile City and Medieval show no stamp, and the other 14 carry a "New" stamp.
What each map contains
The game's own missions and skin goals name specific objects on specific maps. Those names are the most reliable guide to what each place is filled with:
| Map | Objects the game tracks there |
|---|---|
| City | Cars, traffic lights, traffic cones, yellow poles |
| Medieval | Tents |
| Japan | Bamboo stems, sakura trees |
| Sci-Fi | A Teams mission is set here |
| Pirates | Palm trees, ships |
| Post-apocalyptic | Burn barrels |
| Farm | Horses, tractors, trees with fruit |
| Cartoon Town | Chickens, white cats resting on the map |
| Western | Cacti, horses |
| Vikings | Drakkars (longships) |
| Industrial | Tractors, trains, barrels, boxes and packs |
| Military | Palm trees, barrels |
| Street Racing | Traffic cones, in large numbers |
| Fantasy | Boxes |
| Mars | Boxes |
| Candy | Houses |
Reading a map from its missions
The size of a mission says a lot about how much of an object a map holds. Street Racing asks for 1,000 traffic cones, Mars for 300 boxes and Candy for 200 houses, so those maps are packed with one kind of item. Medieval asks for only 20 tents and Post-apocalyptic for 10 burn barrels, so those are scarcer and worth a detour when you see them. Each map also has a "play 3 games here" mission, which is the game's way of getting you to try them all.
Practical notes
- Know the edge. Each map is a fixed area. Past the last pavement there is open water or empty space with nothing to eat, so turn back early rather than drift off the edge.
- Use Solo run to scout. Solo run gives you two minutes on a map with no rivals, which is the calmest way to learn where the dense patches are.
- Match the map to your missions. If the Missions panel asks for drakkars or sakura trees, pick Vikings or Japan instead of leaving the choice on All.
- Some goals cover every map. One mission asks you to eat every police station on every level that has one, and another to win Classic on every level, so a full set means playing all 16.
Seasonal content
The game files also include a Halloween map name and a "Happy Halloween!" message. It did not appear in the Maps menu when we checked in October 2026, so treat it as seasonal content that may or may not be switched on.
